Biography

Jessica Kneipp is a filmmaker who graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne in 2013.

Her interest lies in films that reveal truth and lift the spirit. Work highlights include facilitating filmmaking workshops with Aboriginal teen girls in rural Victoria and completing a documentary 'Protest at Heaven's Gate,' while balancing the fine act of caring for a toddler. She has written articles on film for The Vision Times.

One of the most soul stirring times was her research for the short dance film 妈 - má : mother, which was based on true events about a Melbourne-based Chinese woman brutally persecuted in China for practicing Falun Gong - a peaceful practice that centres on the principles of truth, compassion and forbearance.
